Discussion Continues on PC/DC Issues
The 4C's and the AFT, in coalition, are working to negotiate a new agreement to address some of the inequities in the current compensation package for Department Chairs and Program Coordinators.
As part of these negotiations, management has drafted job descriptions for Department/Division Chairs, Program Coordinators, and a new position, Academic Coordinators. Management has the right to create new positions and to delineate job responsibilities. The union does not approve or veto job descriptions. We do have the power to negotiate compensation and are doing so as part of this reopener.
